Wait, what? Kamal Haasan will quit films after finishing Shankar's Indian 2? – deets inside

Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2, sequel to the 1996 release with the same title, will go on floors on December 14th, 2018 in Hyderabad. Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 will also feature Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady and the pretty actress will also be a part of this schedule. The makers have built huge sets at a studio in Hyderabad for Indian 2 which will have a village theme to it. And while the pre-production works of the film are underway, Kamal Haasan has confirmed that Indian 2 will be his last film and will quit acting after wrapping it up. Kamal was at Kochi attending an event and speaking about his filmy career, the actor-turned-politician said that he will focus on his political career after Indian 2. "Makkal Needhi Maiam will field candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu. I'll quit acting after the upcoming project Indian 2, the shooting of which is slated to start on December 14," Kamal Haasan was quoted as saying by Deccan Chronicle.

This raises another important question now! Kamal Haasan had recently announced that he will be doing a sequel to the superhit film Thevar Magan. And with this announcement, looks like Thevar Magan 2 will be shelved and fans might not witness him playing the village head in it. This news might not go down well with fans of Kamal Haasan and will certainly disappoint few hearts. Kamal Haasan, lately, has shifted his focus from films to politics after launching his own political party Makkal Needhi Maiam.
