Kannada cinema biggest film KGF is gearing up to release on December 21, 2018 worldwide and in five languages simultaneously. Directed by Prashant Neel, KGF features Yash in the lead role while Srinidhi Shetty will be making her debut with the film. KGF is releasing in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi and is expected to be one of the biggest releases this year after 2.0. However, KGF will clash with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ZERO which is also releasing on the same day. A Shah Rukh Khan film is always bigger when compared to other films and releasing on the same day is always a daring step forward. We asked KGF actor Yash about clashing with ZERO and the Kannada star reacts to it and explains why he doesn't feel any competition.
We asked KGF actor Yash what element in the film makes him so confident that it take on a big-budget film like ZERO and he replied, "There are quite a few in totality but I feel it s the script and the concept of the film. It is a fresh subject and this kind of genre hasn t been explored much in Indian cinema. The technicalities are very new and will be a never-seen-before experience for the Indian audience. It will be a great cinematic experience for everyone."
At the trailer launch of KGF, Yash had said a similar thing about clashing with ZERO. "I strongly believe that there is enough space for two films to survive, not one film can acquire the whole country. Yes, Zero is a big anticipated film but we are releasing the film in five languages. So we had to have a date that is suitable for all the languages. We had to think about all the distributors. December 21 seems to be the date suitable for all, so we decided to release on that day," said Yash.
KGF is being released by Farhan Akthar and RItesh Sidwani owned Excel Entertainment in Hindi and is touted to have a bigger release.
