This morning, Hrithik Roshan's post left us shocked. After praising his father for being a strong person, he dropped a bomb that Rakesh Roshan had been diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. It was so sudden that it took a while to sink in. He also mentioned how Roshan Sr's surgery was supposed to be conducted today. Finally, we have a health update now. Hrithik revealed in a tweet that the surgery went well, as per his doctor. This happened after PM Narendra Modi sent his heartfelt wishes to the actor and prayed for the speedy recovery of the filmmaker. Check out the exchange here...

Rakesh Roshan has seen enough lows in his life which includes getting shot at after the super success of Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. Cancer stands no chance in front of him. We wish him a speedy recovery as well. Twitter too was confident that he would emerge out of this condition victorious. Users on the social media site too sent him a lot of heartfelt wishes.
