From Ranveer Singh-Ajay Devgn to Ranbir Kapoor-Shah Rukh Khan - jodis that were an instant hit with fans

Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan have brought a good end to the year with the release of Simmba. The Rohit Shetty directorial released on December 28 and it has the ticket counters full. Not only has the movie received great reviews by critics, it has also opened with impressive numbers. While the movie s songs, dialogues and the action-packed sequences stood out, Simmba s biggest whistle-worthy moment was when we saw Ranveer share screen space with Ajay Devgn.

Now, now, we know it wasn t a surprise element in the movie considering the trailer gave away that Simmba will meet Singham, but the jodi has been one of the biggest talking points of the movie. There wasn t a dull moment in the theatre when the duo took over the screen. However, this moment got us wondering, there have been several such prolonged cameos that have left a powerful impact on the audience in the past.

So, we decided to list down five such collaborations which left us spellbound:

Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan in PK:

A cameo that was a surprise for everyone, Ranbir following in the footsteps of Aamir to Earth in the post climax scene of PK caught us off-guard and made us want a movie featuring the two of them together.

Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil:

Although it was just for a few moments, it was a wonderful sight to see the current heartthrob learn a lesson or two about one-sided love from the king of romance.

Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan in Dilwale:

Not technically a cameo but it was refreshing to watch Shah Rukh play a protective older brother to a naughty Varun in Rohit Shetty s Dilwale.

Varun Dhawan and Salman Khan in Judwaa 2:

One of the biggest highlights of Judwaa 2 was when the yesteryear Prem and Raja met the new Prem and Raja! The post climax scene, where the twin Salman bump into the double Varun is still one of our favourite moments of the movie.

Aamir Khan and Rajkummar Rao in Talaash:

Two of Bollywood s most talented actors came together and created magic on screen. Aamir and Rajkummar, as cops, solving cases together, left us begging for a Talaash 2.
