Bigg Boss Telugu second season host actor Nani will next be seen in a sports drama titled Jersey which will be based on cricket. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey will have sporting a rugged look and will have the actor playing an aspiring cricketer. The shooting of the film has been under progress for a long time now and may hit the screens in mid-2019. And now, much to the joy of Nani's fans, the makers have made an announcement about the first look of the film. The first look of Nani from Jersey will be out on the New Year's Day, announced the makers. Nani will be playing Arjun in Jersey and the look of the actor will be unveiled on January 1st, 2019. Jersey also stars Kannada actress Shraddha Srinath in the female lead role and will be her debut film in Telugu cinema. Fans of Nani are quite kicked about Jersey since it is his first attempt at such sports drama after Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu.

Nani was last seen in Devadas which also starred Nagarjuna Akkineni. Devadas was a gangster comedy and was directed by Sriram Aditya. Nani also hosted the second season of Bigg Boss Telugu and became a popular man in Telugu families with his wit and humour. Besides Jersey, Nani also a film with Vikram K Kumar which is said to be a romantic love story. The film will go on floors in February 2019 post the release of Jersey.
