Builder, booked for trying to grab Dilip Kumar's bungalow, released; Saira Banu Khan requests meeting with PM Narendra Modi

Builder Samir Bhojwani had falsely claimed ownership of the two plots in Bandra's Pali Hill on which Dilip Kumar's bungalow was built. However after being arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police in April, the builder was released recently. Now, the legendary actor's wife Saira Banu Khan has requested to meet with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to discuss the issue. Banu's request was shared on the actor's Twitter account today.

Here's the tweet:

"Request from Saira Banu Khan: The Hon'ble @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi Sir, Land Mafia Samir Bhojwani released from jail. No action taken despite assurances by CM @Dev_Fadnavis . Padma Vibhushit betrayed, threatened by money and muscle power. Request meeting with you in #Mumbai," the tweet read.

The issue has been an ongoing one with Banu having lodged a complaint against Bhojwani with the police earlier this year. In January, the EOW had registered a case of cheating against the builder for allegedly trying to grab Kumar's bungalow. Officials suspected at the time that Bhojwani forged some documents to get the property. After the offence was registered, an EOW team raided Bhojwani's residence in Bandra from where they seized weapons, including knives and daggers.
