After enjoying a good opening day, Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Kedarnath showed substantial growth on Saturday and Sunday and raked in Rs 27.75 crore. The first weekend total is commendable, as it faced a stiff competition from Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth's 2.0. With this collection, it has turned out to be the second-highest opening weekend grosser of Sushant Singh Rajput after M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story.

While Kedarnath is the only release of SSR in 2018, the actor has 5 releases next year which includes Son Chiriya, Drive, Chanda Mama Door Ke, Kizie Aur Maney and Takadum. Coming back to Kedarnath, the film is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nitish Bhardwaj in pivotal roles. Talking about the reviews, our critic Ankita Chaurasia gave the film three stars and wrote, Kedarnath is a visual spectacle but could have been a better love story. However, Sara couldn't have asked for a better launch pad or a better co-star. Sushant's shy demeanour complements her over-the-top antics perfectly.
