After winning us over with his role of a cop in Simmba, Ranveer Singh is ready to take us on his journey as a street rapper with Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. The brand new posters of the film based on the lives of, rappers Naezy and Divine, were unveiled a few days ago. And now, the makers have made an announcement about the trailer's release date. So, the trailer of Gully Boy will be out on January 9. But to build up our excitement level, the makers have released a rap song sung by Ranveer from the film. The song that is titled, Asli Hip Hop, gives us a hint that the trailer is going to be even more amazing.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment, Gully Boy features Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin in vital roles as well. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is scheduled to release on February 1. For those unaware, Gully Boy is among those nine films which will be screened Berlin International Film Festival. While expressing his excitement over the same, Ranveer had earlier said, "Delighted!!! Gully Boy has been selected by the Berlin International Film Festival for a special gala screening!!! Ow Oww."
