Zero song Heer Badnaam: ‘SCREW YOU!’ screams a heartbroken Katrina Kaif and Abhay Deol is to be blamed – watch video

With just a day left for Zero s release, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer dropped a new song featuring Katrina Kaif. After she sizzled in Husn Parcham, the actress Babita Kumari takes on the big screen in a badass avatar in Heer Badnaam. The song gives a never-before-seen avatar of Katrina and we re impressed. The song gives a clearer understanding of the Aanand L Rai directorial. In the musical video, we re treated to different on-screen roles of Katrina: she s playing a cop, she s also seen as dead bride, but it is what happens in Babita s off-screen life which is interesting in the song.

The new song showcases a badass and spoilt Babita, who is clearly heartbroken. The actress is seen drinking and screaming at Bauaa Singh. The actress is seen uneasy when Abhay Deol s character passes by. Judging by the lyrics written by Kumaar, the actor s cameo character seems to have cheated Babita and as a result, Babita has lost track of her life.

While the song focuses on Katrina, SRK s dwarf character is also seen in play but he s taking more of a supporting role in the video. He s taking care of Babita while she deals with her heartbreak.

The song has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi and is a good listen. The folk arrangement works for this song. It is after a long time that we ve heard Bollywood revisit Punjabi folk music.

Check out the video below:

In a recent interview, Katrina had confessed that it was a hard role to portray. She said that the role took a toll on her. "The work was inspiring and challenging, but personally it was not a fun place to go to. After a 10-day or a two-week schedule, we d take a break, and when I got back to the set, I d confess to Aanand sir that I didn t want to go back to the deeply sad space where Babita s obnoxious behaviour stemming from. He d nod, I know mere bachche, but kar na, she had said.

We are excited to watch this flick even more now!
