2.0 director Shankar s Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan will go on shooting floors from December 14 and is currently the focal point of Tamil film circles. Indian 2 is said to be a sequel to the 1996 release with the same title, which was one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema. The music of Indian, composed by AR Rahman, was one of the biggest hit albums of the '90s. And the same was expected of Indian 2. However, admirers of Shankar's work may see a change in combo in Indian 2, going by latest reports. Shankar has signed on Anirudh Ravichander for Indian 2 and the official announcement about this has been made now. In an interview with a radio channel, Anirudh confirmed that he has Indian 2 lined up next after Rajinikanth-starrer Petta. This video of Anirudh is going viral on social media now and fans of the young music composer expect him to deliver another blockbuster album for Indian 2. Watch the video here:
Indian 2 also stars Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady and the actress recently confirmed her role in the film. News also has it that Tamil star STR aka Simbu will be seen in a key role in Indian 2 however, this is yet to be officially confirmed by the makers. Reports also suggest that Indian 2 will also feature Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in another pivotal role. But again, like STR, Dulquer s casting too is yet to be officially confirmed by the makers. Indian 2 is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions who produced Shankar s recently released 2.0.
