Kapil Sharma's wedding festivities have begun and his close friends have headed to Amritsar. Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh, Sudesh Lehri are all there for the festivities. Singer Richa Sharma whom Kapil considers as a sister is also present. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Life, she said, "Tonight, we have the Jaago function. It is a tradition here in Punjab. The marriage has a very homely vibe to it and we're enjoying ourselves to the hilt. His family is very happy. I may not be able to attend the marriage as I have to shoot for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa." Well, Jaago is a custom where the family gives an open invitation to all to participate in the festivities. Lights, music and special tents are used in modern Jaago functions, which are more like DJ nights.
The singer reveals that Kapil is not a nervous would-be groom. "He is not at all nervous. In fact, he is super chilled out. Kapil is really happy. This kind of smile and radiance I saw on this face only during the launch of The Kapil Sharma Show. God bless both Ginni and him who are truly happy at this marriage," she said. There is a reception in Amritsar on December 14 followed by one for the entertainment fraternity in Mumbai on December 24. "I will try to be back for the Amritsar reception," she says.
