Indian Idol 10: Rohit Shetty says he takes credit for Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone's wedding

As the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol 10 inches closer towards its culmination with the finale just a few days away, the top 6 contestants are battling away to give their best. And with great talent on the show, it is not a shocker that it has a huge fan following of not just music lovers but also the film fraternity. To add to this, the stars visiting the show to promote their films just increases the visual appeal along with the musical treat that is this show. And the latest set of celebrities to visit the show were the cast members of soon-to-be-released Simmba. Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and their director Rohit Shetty visited the sets and were totally mesmerised by the outstanding performances of the contestants.

While the Simmba team encouraged all the contestants, the show was much more than just singing. There was dance, there was drama and some entertaining singing by none other than Sara herself.

Contestants gave their own tributes to the Simmba cast with songs like Lungi Dance, Deewani Mastani, Khali Bali, Gerua, Ainvayi Ainvayi and others. And all were close to Ranveer and Rohit s hearts in some way or the other. Lungi Dance from Chennai Express was from one of Rohit s best films and Ranveer s now wife Deepika Padukone featured in it. When the actor reminisced visiting the sets of Lungi Dance, Rohit added, Teri shaadi mein mera bohot badaa haath hai (I take credit for your wedding). Ranveer also revealed that the iconic song from his first film Band Baja Barat, Ainvayi Ainvayi was shot at the same studio as Indian Idol. When asked about his feelings about his journey of life, Ranveer turned emotional and confessed, "Sometimes I can't believe where I have reached. One lesson I have learnt is, it is very important to love what you do for a living in life."

Ranveer danced at the drop of the hat, Rohit, the show s host Maniesh Paul and the actor raced on kiddie tricycles and Sara was funnily out of tune as she crooned Kaisi Paheli Hai Yeh. But the show stopper was Ranveer's dance face off with contestant Nitin. Both were a tough competition for each other. And that was followed by the actor surprising us with his great mimicry skills as he said the words, "Jo deto traas, tyacha mi gheto class," a dialogue from Simmba, in the voices of Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Amrish Puri.

All-in-all, it was a dhamaakedar episode high on entertainment.
