Varun Dhawan's dance film with Katrina Kaif ABCD3 is touted as the biggest one ever in that genre. This is the first time the Bollywood diva is pairing with most successful actor of this generation. The buzz is that this film will be made in the 4D and IMAX format. There were initial reports that Varun Dhawan would be pocketing a fee of Rs 32 crore for this big budget extravaganza but now we know the correct figure. A source told Bollywood Life that Varun is charging Rs 21 crore for this project. "Though Sui Dhaaga and October weren't exact money-spinners, there is no denying that Varun is the most bankable amongst the young crop of actors. The producers have agreed to the amount. This fee places him in a league higher than Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor," the source informed. Varun is a fab dancer and played the main protagonist in ABCD 2 as well. His performance as the ambitious international dancer Suresh Mukund was loved by all.
There is no clarity on whether Katrina Kaif will romance Varun in the film or not. The shoot will start in January 2019 and it will be a start to end schedule. The film will reportedly have five songs. Katrina Kaif will apparently play a Pakistani dancer in the film. If that's true, then after the Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, she will again be a Pakistani character. Prabhudheva, Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak and Raghav Juyal will also be in the film. If everything goes as per schedule, it will release next year in November. Kalank is slated to release on April 19, 2018.
