Director Shankar's 2.0 has created a history at the worldwide box office by grossing Rs 400 crore in just four days. The sci-fi venture has already turned out to be the biggest Tamil film of all-time in just a short-span of time. In fact, the film has already surpassed the business of Bollywood biggies like 3 Idiots(Rs 395 crore) , Dilwale (Rs 390 crore), Happy New Year (Rs 392 crore) , Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 399 crore) at the global market. In the coming days, the film will surpass the business of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express at the ticket windows.

Made on the humongous budget of over Rs 600 crore, 2.0 has recovered a good amount of chunk before its release through digital, satellite and other rights. It marks the third collaboration between director Shankar and Rajinikanth after Sivaji and Enthiran. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, it also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles. Karan Johar has presented the Hindi version of 2.0 under his banner Dharma Productions. Apparently, it is the first Indian film, which is entirely shot in 3D. Looking at the phenomenal business of the film, we are excited to see, whether 2.0 will be next Baahubali of cinema or not.
