First single from Maari 2 titled Rowdy Baby is out now and fans of the Maari franchise are already in love with it. Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raj adds a massy tinge to this duet number which makes it an instant hit. Rowdy Baby is sung by Dhanush and Dhee and the combo works well in this track. Dhanush, besides singing, has also penned the lyrics for the song and yet again proves why he tops the list of multi-talented personalities in Tamil cinema. The visuals in the lyrical video are a treat to fans of Dhanush and the choreography will certainly blow the tops in cinema halls. The song is choreographed by the most celebrated actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva and this is another reason why Tamil movie fans are quite kicked about it.

Maari 2 is the sequel to the 2015 release with the same title and starred Dhanush and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. Dhanush plays a street-smart don in Maari sporting a handlebar moustache and a massy look in it. The sequel is gearing up for release this December but the makers are yet to confirm the exact date. Maari 2 is being produced by Dhanush himself under his banner Wunderbar Films. Besides the actor and Sai Pallavi, the film also stars Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas as the antagonist and will mark his debut in Kollywood. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will also be seen playing a key role in the project.
