The Sekhar Kammula directorial venture was one of the biggest hits of the last year, where Varun played the character of an NRI and Sai Pallavi portrays the role of a simple village girl. Following the debacles of Life is Beautiful and Anamika, the Telugu remake of Kahaani, Kammula has bounced back strongly with Fidaa. The film marked the Telugu debut of Sai Pallavi, and she has won over audiences with her performance. On the professional front, Varun Tej will be seen in F2 which also stars Venkatesh and Tamannah Bhatia in pivotal roles. The film is also the first-time association of director Anil Ravipudi with these two stars. Besides Varun Tej and Venkatesh, it also stars popular actors like Prakash Raj, Pragati and Rajendra Prasad among many others. The film is being produced by Dil Raju and is his third production with director Anil Ravipudi.
