Another year, another week and another edition of Trending Tunes. Hello music lovers, we wish you have a melodious 2019, hopefully with lesser renditions and remakes, and more original music. 2018 was packed with remixes we loved, hated and wished never happened in the first place. While we danced to Dilbar, we hated that Urvashi was touched. However, it was with a remix that we started 2019 Aankh Marey. The song from Simmba has been on every playlist at New Year s Eve parties and we had no complaints.
The Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan-starrer song is so peppy, we loved ringing in the new year with it. Once we sobered down, we were taken back home in our cabs with Zero s Mere Naam Tu playing in the background. The melodious composition by Ajay-Atul is something we re not going to let go off anytime soon. While these two have got us hooked, there are other songs which have our attention as well. Take a look
Aankh Marey from Simmba:
The Mika Singh and Neha Kakkar voiced song is one of the biggest hits of December 2018. The Simmba song adds Kumar Sanu s touch to it which makes it worth a listen.
Mere Naam Tu from Zero:
The love ballad keeps us up in the nights, remembering our loved ones. To top it off, Shah Rukh Khan s romantic gestures get our hearts fluttering.
Proper Patola from Namaste England:
After Aankh Marey, all we could hear guests at clubs asking the DJ to play was Proper Patola. Although the Badshah song released a few months ago, it is still one of the most listened to songs from late 2018.
Tere Bin from Simmba:
Music lovers are enjoying Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Asees Kaur s Tere Bin from the Rohit Shetty directorial. The visuals give us a peek at Ranveer and Sara s chemistry in the movie.
Qaafirana from Kedarnath:
Arijit Singh crooning a love song and fans not getting hooked to it is like a fish surviving without water. The melodious song is soothing to the ear and it features Sara with Sushant Singh Rajput which is a visual treat.
