Thackeray song Aaya Re Sabkaa Baap Re: Nakash Aziz adds terrific zing to Balasaheb's the introduction track

The first song of Thackeray just dropped and it is all that one could think of when it comes to Balasaheb Thackeray. Sung by Nakash Aziz, the track is the perfect ode to the politician who literally owned the masses in Maharashtra at one point. Penned by Dr. Sunil Jogi, the music to this song from the Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amrita Rao-starrer has been given by Rohan and Rohan. Nawaz tweeted about the song and we just couldn't wait to click on the link and watch it. And mind you, it is one heavy watch.

Check out the tweet here:

The superb video direction by Ahmed Khan is grand to say the least and gives us the Aala Re Aala Simmba Aala feels at times. The dhols, the million fog lights, the women in nauvaris, the lejhims and most importantly the fervour with which the entire crowd rejoices Thackeray's presence is just to reminiscent of the recently released blockbuster Simmba's title track video. Not to forget the saffron flags in the air and the basically Marathi backdrop that both these songs feature.

Here's the song:

But all said and done, the song in itself is an upbeat and groovy song and sure to make it's way to Ganesh pandals this season. Directed by Abhijit Panse, Thackeray is produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Dr. Shrikant Bhasi, Mrs. Varsha Sanjay Raut, Ms. Purvashi Sanjay Raut and Ms. Vidhita Sanjay Raut. A bilingual in Hindi and Marathi that is set to hit theatres on the 93rd birth anniversary of Balasaheb Thackeray on January 25, this one is based on the life of the popular politician who founded the Indian political party, Shiv Sena.
