It is going to be an emotional summer for Game of Thrones fans because the popular HBO TV series is drawing the curtains. Yes, GoT season 8 will be last season of the famous show and we are already picturing fans going gaga over the ending. However, we sure know one thing, the actor who plays Jon Snow, Kit Harington, is never returning to the show ever again.
While we ll be sad that we will not to be able see him as Jon Snow ever again in the future, the actor is not unhappy about the show ending.
The actor has made up his mind and explained his decision in an interview to BBC recently. It was emotional to leave the job definitely. But I wouldn t say I was sad- if like me you go all the way back to the pilot of Game of Thrones that s almost 10 years of your life that s really unusual in an actor s career. It was a huge emotional upheaval leaving that family. But would I want to go back and do more? Not on your life, he shared.
He was asked if he would consider turning into Jon Snow for a cameo in the prequel of GoT. The actor gave an unequivocal no. As of now, the actor is performing in a play where his character works on a movie script he sold when his hopeless brother Lee returns into his life.
The handsome hunk has been portraying Jon Snow since 2011, when the TV series began. The character has been dead and brought back to life as well on the show. It is to see what awaits Jon in the final season. The new episodes of Game of Thrones airs in April 2019.
