The magnum opus 2.0 has kept everyone excited. The world will witness the reunion of the two amazing forces from the acting and direction department - Rajnikant and Shankar. To this, the movie also comprises of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. While there is no doubt that the movie will open to Earth-shattering numbers, if not everywhere, at least in Tamil Nadu. With a lavish budget of Rs 600 crore, the movie will without a doubt break many records. And it is to be mentioned that the movie is expected to open really well in the Telugu market as well, where both Rajnikant and Shankar are quite successful.
On the conditions of anonymity, a source told Showshaa, "This is the biggest film of Rajinikanth and Shankar, together. This alone is a reason good enough to draw audiences to the theatres. Both Rajinikanth and Shankar have very big market in Telugu states. Both their previous films Sivaji and Enthiran did exceptionally well in Telugu at a time when there was hardly any market for dubbed Telugu films from Tamil (industry)."
The success of Vijay s Sarkar couldn t have come at the right time. It has emerged as the biggest hit for Vijay in the Telugu market, which he has finally cracked. The theatrical rights of 2.0 have been sold for a whopping Rs 85 crore, which is the highest for a dubbed Telugu film and trade pundits believe it will open big in Andhra and Telangana, the trade analyst further added.
If the estimation of the trade, is to go by, the dubbed version of 2.0 in Telugu is expected to open with around Rs 20 crore on first day in both the states.
That is going to be huge. Slated to be Rajnikant's biggest movie till date, 2.0 will release 29 November.
