While there is no new offering in Bollywood, we have witnessed a huge upturn at the Chennai box office. Jyothika's Kaatrin Mozhi, which is the official remake of Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu has beaten Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar to grab the one position at the ticket windows. It seems that, the positive word of mouth and light-hearted entertaining content has helped the film to garner great footfalls in the cinema halls.

On the second position, we have Thalapathy Vijay and Keerthy Suresh starrer big Diwali release Sarkar, which has already shattered many box office record. The political thriller has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the worldwide market. Hollywood's computer animated film Ralph Breaks The Internet has taken the third spot in the list. The Disney venture has managed to garner excitement among the kids, which has helped this comedy movie to perform well at the box office. Vijay Deverakonda's Taxiwaala, which continues to rake in moolah in the Telugu market has managed to perform in Chennai as well. After NOTA, this is Vijay's second film, which has strike the chord with the Tamil audience. On the fifth spot, we have Sei akak Thimiru Pudichavan which stars Nakul, Prakash Raj and Aanchal Munja in key roles. The thriller film has impressed the audience with its gripping plot and we expect it to hold well in the weekdays.
