Vicky Kaushal's war drama Uri The Surgical Strike is getting all the right responses at the box office. We always knew it was a word of mouth kinda film. If the word is out that the film is good, it will be hailed and that's exactly what happened with this film. After exceeding expectations with the first day numbers, Uri saw another jump in the collection on day 2 to bring the total an excellent Rs 20.63 crore. It is expected to only get better today as more and more people are watching this film.

Uri also managed to get favourable reviews from the critics. Vicky plays Major Vihan Shergill in the film which talks about's India's revenge after several jawans were killed during the Uri attack. The nation unified after the attacks and many hailed the Modi Government for executing surgical strikes to tell our enemies, there's only so much that India can endure. The whole essence of the film must have connected with the audience who just can't stop raving about it. Good word of mouth will work in the film's favour.
