Director Aanand L Rai's Zero has turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of the year. The romance drama, which was expected to be one of the monstrous hits at the box office failed to impress the audience. While we were hopeful that it will cross the Rs 100 crore mark in its opening weekend, the film has not achieved that milestone even in 5 days.

Since the budget of the film is very high, we don't it will recover it through its theatrical run. Shah Rukh plays a vertically challenged man Bauua Singh in the movie directed by Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu franchise helmer and also features Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. While the audience loved the performances of the lead stars, the story failed to impress the moviegoers. Apart from the lead cast, the film also features R Madhavan, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub and Abhay Deol in pivotal roles. It is produced under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment and Color Yellow Productions. Since Simmba is hitting the screens this Friday, Zero will lose the maximum screens at the ticket windows.
