By the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel fans were aware that Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Black Widow had survived Thanos deadly snap. After the Avengers: Endgame trailer released, it got clearer that Ant-Man and Hawkeye have also survived the snap. Previous reports have confirmed that Shuri is returning for Avengers 4. And now, another Marvel character has confirmed that he will be returning for the movie.
Who are we talking about? We re talking about Doctor Strange s sidekick Wong. Talking to Collider, Benedict Wong, the actor who plays the Marvel character, confirmed he is reprising his Infinity War role for Avengers: Endgame. The actor gave away details about his role while discussing his upcoming TV show Deadly Class.
"Yeah, there was a time when I was doing Avengers 4. Normally it would be a logistical nightmare with the hair and negotiating that, but it s great. I m grateful to be on a double Russo Brothers production. It was streamlined, he told the publication.
"Yeah, it did (help that the Russos were involved with both projects). They made a very expensive silicon wig (for Wong in Avengers: Endgame) that they glued on because they wanted to keep me with hair more for Lin, he added.
The last we saw Wong was when the Black Order had reached New York, near the Sanctum, to get their hands on the time stone, which is hung around Doctor Strange. After which, Wong wasn t seen anywhere. So hopefully, he would join the remaining Avengers and find a way to bring the world back to balance and avenge Thanos. We ll have to see Avengers: Endgame, releasing on April 26, to know how things fall in place.
