Despite the release of Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's Kedarnath, Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 continued its steady run at the ticket windows. The sci-fi venture raked in Rs 5.85 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 145.60 crore. It will cross the Rs 150 crore mark today at the ticket windows making it the first Akshay Kumar film to achieve this feat.

The film has already crossed the Rs 550 crore mark at the worldwide box office and will enter the Rs 600 crore club by today or tomorrow at the ticket windows. 2.0 marks the third collaboration between Rajinikanth and director Shankar after Sivaji: The Boss and Enthiran. Talking about 2.0, the film features Rajinikanth in three different avatars and also stars Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in key roles. Akshay Kumar, making his southern debut, plays the antagonist. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 600 crore. Rajinikanth plays a scientist and a robot. He also appears as a microbot, dubbed 3.0, which was one of the major surprise elements.
