While celebs prefer having destination weddings outside India, Priyanka has proved that she is the true desi girl. She will be celebrating her special day very much in India at Jodhpur's royal structure of the Umaid Bhawan Palace. While it is going to be an international affair, NickYanka has made it a point to keep the desi touch alive in all the ceremonies.
According to reports by DNA, guests will be getting a royal and regal treatment with the best of cuisines, silverware and royal Rajasthani accessories. Besides Rajasthani, Punjabi and Hyderabadi cuisines, guests will also get to enjoy Italian, Mexican, Continental and Chinese food. And all these will be served in silver-plated dinnerware and cutlery which will be sourced from Jodhpur itself. Though regular staff will be removed from the palace during the ceremonies, the catering staff will remain the same. To give a taste of the state's culture, the wedding will have stalls of saafa, jewellery, handicrafts, Rajasthani dresses, dupattas, jootis and bandhej on sale. well, Priyanka surely proves why she is called desi girl .
Meanwhile, Nick will also take on a desi avatar and will enter the mandap in a regal horse-drawn carriage. Also, word is that the henna that will be applied during Priyanka's mehendi will be brought in from Sojat which is a city in Rajasthan, known for being the center for 90% of the country's henna annual production. Interesting, isn't it?
