Not the kiss with Katrina Kaif, this scene of Zero made Shah Rukh Khan really awkward

Shah Rukh Khan is back with one of the most talked about and ambitious projects of his career, Zero. In the film, he plays the role of a vertically challenged man, Baauaa Singh, who gets involved with a couple of women. One of the things that has caught the fancy of people from the trailer is the character's wicked sense of humour. Talking about it, Shah Rukh Khan told the journos at a press meet, "Himanshu (Sharma), Aanand L Rai and me have a wicked sense of humour. When the girls saw the trailer, they were like he (Baauaa) is so mean and wicked. We are not used to seeing Shah Rukh Khan like that." He also explains why the character is as rude and brash as he is.

The actor told in the interview, "There is a reason for it. In the film, there is a line where Baauaa's friend tells him, 'Bhagwanji tujhe punish karenge...and he replies, 'Kar toh diya, aur kitna karenge, main advance tax dekar aaya'. Uss aadmi main kuch kami hai isliye woh khaafa hai (The man has some shortcoming, which is why he is kind of upset). There is a bit of cynicism, which as a hero we cannot portray much. However, Baauaa is not angry or angsty, he is a little wicked...har cheez ka jawab de deta hai."

The actor reveals that there is a crass quality about Baauaa which is because of his upbringing and lack of education. "He is tenth fail and not educated," he says. The actor reveals that he left awkward about the scene where he tells Anushka that hamare yahan plot dekhne ke liye paise nahi lagte. I felt kind of awkward doing it. I would personally never talk like that," he says. The actor says there is one scene where he makes fun of Anushka Sharma aka Aafia's speech defect. "As the film progresses, people will find his rudeness very honest. He is like that till the end of the film. No one changes in the film. They become happy with life. You will not take it badly," says the superstar.
