Oh no.....
Please don't tell me the weirdness is about to begin again.....

It seems Britney Spears has gotten a restraining order against her old manager Sam Lutfi and her ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.
The order accuses Ghalib, a photographer, and Lutfi of trying to "disrupt" the conservatorship that was set up.
The documents say that Lutfi, Ghalib and a third man, lawyer John Eardley, have been trying to take charge of Spears' affairs, which have been controlled by her father since February 1, 2008.
Well it must not be psychotic ramblings because a judge did issue the restraining order.
So there must be legal grounds.
So that's okay.

But we are also alerted that Britney may cancel her 'Circus' tour if she is not allowed to take her children on the road with her.
According to TMZ, Britney is trying to get an agreement with Kevin Federline to take Sean Preston and Jayden James with her on the tour.
Britney reportedly offered K-Fed up to $4,000 a week to accompany the boys, plus his own accommodation in each of the three cities. She plans to rent houses in Los Angeles, New Jersey and New Orleans, where the boys can comfortably stay and she can easily commute between them throughout her 33 date tour.
I wonder what Kevin's current girlfriend thinks of that?

Baywatch Returns?

The show that launched the sale of a million red one piece swimsuits is coming back......
Yes...Baywatch The Movie is coming.
That's right, Baywatch the MOVIE.
Variety has reported that the movie remake proposal that was originally written as a semi-serious film will be remade into a comedy like "Stripes" or Police Academy".
They have Jeremy Garelick set to rewrite and direct the project.
Of course the original launched the career of a lot of beautiful women including Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Gena Lee Nolin, Traci Bingham, Erika Eleniak, Carmen Elektra, and Nicole Eggert.
And even though online sources haven't confirmed anything yet, I think that most likely at least David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson will show up in cameos.

So will we see an updated version of the red lifeguard swimsuit return?
Some online costume sites still sell the original outfit that Pamela made famous running down the beach in slow motion.
And you should never ignore the nostalgia value.
If the movie is a hit, we may see the red Lycra one-piece make a come back.

Alyson Hannigan

It hasn't been that long since I posted a picture of Alyson Hannigan, but one of the things I'm doing is going back and watching all the episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer start to finish.
Of course if you watched the show, you get to watch Alyson's character Willow grow up in more ways than one.
Forget Twilight, Buffy, Angel and True Blood are my favorites.
Anyway, Willow was an important part of Buffy, to me almost as important as Buffy herself.
Right now I'm up to the "Dark Willow" episodes, watching Willow tear up the scenery.
Literally.

Of course now Alyson is on the CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother as Lily Aldrin.
But even though Willow and Lily are vastly different characters, every now and then you see a little Willow come shining through.

Britney Spears is finished!

...with the European leg of the Circus Tour.
We wondered if it would happen and it did.
Lots of people didn't think Britney would finish the North American tour, but not only did she finish it, but she blazed through Europe as well.
The European tour ended last night in Berlin Germany.
Now she gets to take a short break before starting part three of the tour, covering North America again.
The second part of the North American tour will kick off in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on August 20, 2009 at the Copps Coliseum.
And when North America part two is finished, its off to Australia in November.
Talk about coming back with a vengeance.

In the meantime, if you cant get enough of Britney, here is the Candie's Fall 2009 campaign ad with Britney wrapped head to toe in Candies.
Candies shoes, Candies blouse, skirts, everything probably but Candies cologne.
Brit's probably wearing her own.

Beyonce versus Kelly Clarkson?

So what happened?
Did Kelly Clarkson copy Beyonce?
Did Beyonce copy Kelly Clarkson?
Is it some kind of weird synchronicity?

The furor is over Kelly Clarkson?s single ?Already Gone? and Beyonce?s song,"Halo.?
On Kelly's side, her people say that the song was written before Beyonc�'s was even produced.
They lay the blame at the feet of songwriter/producer Ryan Tedder of the band One Republic.

Kelly sez....
"We wrote about six songs together, four or five of them made the album. It was all fine and dandy. I'd never heard of a song called Halo..Her album came out when my album was already being printed. No one's gonna be sittin' at home, thinkin' 'Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyonce and Kelly the same track to write to.' No, they're just gonna be sayin I ripped someone off. I called Ryan and said 'I don't understand. Why would you do that?'"

Word has it that Kelly tried to keep her track off the radio, but RCA went behind her back and released it.

Another rumor floating around is that Beyonc� was already aware of ?Already Gone?and asked Tedder to produce a track like it and then demanded it be released before Kelly could put out her song.

Gabrielle Anwar - Fiona Glenanne - Burn Notice

And moving on to another of my favorite USA shows, we have Gabrielle Anwar as Fiona Glenanne on "Burn Notice".

I love Fiona, the "trigger happy ex-girlfriend" as Micheal puts it.
Fiona may be tiny (her weight seems to be a source of internet talk) but she will gladly punch, kick, shoot or blow you up if need be.
It's kinda cool to see a 5'3 woman played as a pit bull that you have to pull off the bad guy.
In the first episode Fiona had an Irish accent, then she lost it, but picked it back up for the third season finale.

The actress that plays Fiona is Gabrielle Anwar.
She was born on February 4, 1970 in Laleham, Middlesex, England, to her mother, Shirley, an English actress and her father, Tariq Anwar, an Indian-born award-winning British film producer and editor.
Gabrielle has appeared in a lot of TV series and movies including The Tudors, John Doe, Scent of a Woman, The Three Musketeers and Body Snatchers.

And she will be appearing in the 2009 films Nuclear Family as Nina and Warrior as Claire Sullivan .

Kaji Meiko - Japanese Actress and Singer

Kaji Meiko is a Japanese actress and Enka (Japanese popular music genre) singer, born on March 24, 1947 in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan.
After appearing in several juvenile girl gang and women in prison films, Kaji gained fame in her role as Yuki in Lady Snowblood.
The film was based on the manga by writer Kazuo Koike and artist Kazuo Kamimura.
Kazuo Koike also created the Crying Freeman and Lone Wolf and Cub mangas.
Lady Snowblood was one of the inspirations for Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill films.
The theme song to Lady Snowblood and the theme song of the Sasori series( Female Convict 701: Scorpion, another women in prison film) were both sung by Kaji, and were used in Tarantino's Kill Bill, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.
Kaji also appeared in the sequel to Lady Snowblood, Lady Snowblood 2: Love Song of Vengeance.

Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, The 2010 Guinness Book of Records and The Singles Collection

The custody agreement that gives Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline joint custody of their two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James has been extended by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge.
This is good news for Britney and even better news for Kevin since he gets $20,000 a month in child support and an additional $20,000-$25,000 a month when the boys travel outside of California.

And it looks like Kevin has been spending that $40,000 to $45,000 a month on food.
So much so that he is signed on to appear on VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club."
Joining him will be his ex-girlfriend and mother of two of his children, Shar Jackson (wonder how that will work out?), Bobby Brown and former "Baywatch" star Nicole Eggert.

And it appears that "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic,"taught him nothing.
Now Kevin is allegedly trying to get a reality show about his own life that would include his current girlfriend Victoria Prince, Britney, Jayden James and Sean Preston.
As the Wayans used to say on "In Living Color"...."Mo' money, mo' money, mo' money!"

Back to Britney, she has made the 2010 Guinness Book of Records.
She's listed as the youngest female artist to have five of albums reach number one, and the all-time best-selling teenage artist.

And Britney will be celebrating 10 years of performing by releasing The Singles Collection on November 24, 2009.
A new single "3" is scheduled to come out next Tuesday.

Meghan Markle - Amy Jessup - Fringe

I did a write up on FBI agent Olivia Dunham and Astrid (Astrix, Astral..LOL) on the TV show Fringe awhile back, but there is another lady that has joined the cast (as a secondary character) in the first episode of season two, and that is FBI agent Amy Jessup, played by Meghan Markle.
Of course right now Amy's motives are murky (as are most of the characters on Fringe) and it remains to be seen just where they are going with her.
(Right now I'm still mad about what they did to Charlie ...but hey)

Amy seems to be more open to the Fringe events, but it's hinted at that this comes from a religious stand point.

The young lady that plays Amy is Meghan Markle.
Megan is a fashion model, spokesmodel, and actress.
She was born on August 4th, 1981 in Los Angeles, California.
You may remember seeing Megan in several shows.
General Hospital, CSI: NY, 90210, Knight Rider and Without a Trace.
She will also be in the films Remember Me (with Robert Pattinson and Pierce Brosnan...what?!?) and Get Him to the Greek (with Russell Brand, Pink, Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera).

When you think of Katie Holmes now you think about Tom Cruise, Suri, her hair style, her being pregnant and of course Scientology.

But remember when Katie was just hot?

She was a promising actress who (according to some rumors) was actually offered the role of Buffy Summers in "Buffy The Vampire Slayer".

Katie was born on December 18, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio, the youngest of five children.
Her first professional role was in 1997's Ice Storm directed by Ang Lee.
The film was a box office flop, but later became a success when it was released on video and DVD.
She then appeared in 1998's Disturbing Behavior, a science fiction thriller with a huge cast that had a few of my favorites, Steve Railsback (Duane Barry from The X-Files), James Marsden (Cyclops from the X-Men) and the beautiful Natassia Malthe.

Then Katie really made a name for herself in Dawson's Creek as Josephine "Joey" Lynn Potter.
This was followed by a string of movies that didnt do too well, but it looked like that was all about to change in 2005 when Katie appeared in the blockbuster Batman Begins and the critically praised Thank You for Smoking.

But also in 2005 came Tom Cruise and the infamous Oprah Winfrey Show incident.
Since then she has gone back to lack-luster movie and TV show appearances, even passing up reprising her role as Rachel Dawes in the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight.

So is Katie a brain washed Scientology clone, or a woman that puts her husband and daughter above her career?

Milla Jovovich and The Fourth Kind

The stunning Milla Jovovich will be playing psychotherapist Dr. Abigail Tyler in the upcoming alien abduction movie "The Fourth Kind".
The promos for the movie say it is based on actual footage and interviews with abductees involved in cases that center around Nome, Alaska.
Alledgedly there have been a disproportionate number of unexplained disappearances during the past 40 years and there are accusations of a federal cover up.
However I did a write up about this on my Conspiracy blog, and the facts about the cases are shrouded in mystery.
Or just plain made up.
I did a little research on the name Dr. Abigail Tyler and found it listed at the Alaska Psychiatry Journal.
Unfortunately, the Alaska Psychiatry Journal entry seems to be a hoax.
Check the root directory.

And according to IMDb, Alaska state licensing examiner Jan Mays says she can't find records of an Abigail Tyler ever being licensed in any profession in Alaska.
Ron Adler, CEO and director of the Alaska Psychiatric Institute and Denise Dillard, president of the Alaska Psychological Association say they've never heard of Abigail Tyler.
So maybe we have an updated "Blair Witch" attempt.

But either way, it's probably worth watching just to see Milla.

Besides The Fourth Kind, Milla has several movies coming out this year.
A Perfect Getaway with Chris Hemsworth, Kiele Sanchez, Timothy Olyphant, Steve Zahn and Marley Shelton. This film was released on August 7th and got mixed reviews.
She is also working on the drama/thriller Stone with Edward Norton and Robert De Niro and the drama Keep Coming Back with Steve Buscemi, William H. Macy and Mos Def.
But of course action fans are waiting for Resident Evil: Afterlife, where Milla will once again play Alice.
This time she will be joined by Jensen Ackles, Eva Mendes and Ali Larter.
Now those three are rumored and not official as of right now.
But Milla Jovovich, Eva Mendes and Ali Larter all in one movie?

Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body

Megan Fox's "Jennifer's Body" opens today and the PR machine is running over time to promote what is basically a large budget B movie to the masses.
Besides the interviews with Megan that are popping up everywhere I think the funniest thing associated with the film is the tongue-in-cheek fake PSA where Megan appears as herself to speak out against bullying in high school.

Of course as with most of Megan's project, you get the "this isn't art" argument from the Internet masses.
Well no it's not, from what I have seen "Jennifer's Body"is like I said, basically a glorified B movie.
You shouldn't be expecting an Oscar winning flick here.

Although Jennifer's Body was written by Diablo Cody (aka Brook Busey) who also wrote 2007's Juno and Juno got four 2008 Academy Awards nominations.
And she also wrote the TV series "United States of Tara" for Showtime which was nominated for an Emmy Award.

Jennifer's Body was directed by Karyn Kusama who also did �on Flux (2005) and Girlfight (2000).
�on Flux really didn't do well at the box office, it grossed $52 million and cost $62 million to make.
However Girlfight (starring Michelle Rodriguez) was a critical success, winning the Director's Award the Grand Jury Prize at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival, and it got several awards and nominations, including good press from the National Board of Review, Deauville Film Festival, Independent Spirit Awards, Gotham Awards and the Las Vegas Film Critics Sierra Awards.

So don't count this film out yet.
Written by a woman, directed by a woman and starring Megan Fox.
It at least has the possibility of hitting cult status.

Britney Spears Updates

Britney Spears took her two sons to North Texas to celebrate their birthdays.
Sean Preston, who turned 4 on Monday, and Jayden James who turned 3 on Saturday, were seen with Britney in the game arcade at the Gatti Town pizza emporium in Frisco, Texas.

And in a weird rumor (okay, whats weird for Britney?) is Britney trying to find a new boyfriend through modeling agency catalogs?
That's what the rumors as saying about Ford male model Bekim Trenova.
The rumors say that Britney's people invited the 24-year-old to "audition" for a music video in LA.
But when he got there, there were no cameras or crews, just Britney.
Britney's people say the whole thing is false and that Britney doesn't even know Bekim.
And Trenova is going the "no comment" route.

Sunday night, Britney got the MTV Video Music Award for Best Pop Video.
The video for "Womanizer" took the award, and since Britney is touring, she gave her acceptance via satellite.
This of course barred any interruption from Kanye West.

And the Circus tour has seven more shows in the US before heading to Australia on November 6 to hit the Burswood Dome in Perth.

Actress and Model - Anna Grigorenko

Sometimes you run across a woman that is just so beautiful she stops you in your tracks and Anna Grigorenko is one of those women.
I got a comment on the original post I did on Anna way back in 2007 that might have been Anna herself (I'm not sure) correcting her date of birth and height, so I thought I'd do a new updated entry on her.
Anna was born on April 24, 1985 in Sevastopol, Ukraine.
She is modeling, and has been since the age of 15 and she is currently living in Italy.
And not only does Anna model, she's an actress as well.
She was featured as an actress in an American / Ukrainian movie titled "Marco-Polo".

You may know Jewel Staite as Kaylee Frye in one of my favorite shows, Joss Whedon's Firefly and the film Serenity, and Dr. Jennifer Keller on another of my favorite shows Stargate Atlantis.
Ever notice that most of my favorite TV shows are cancelled ones?
This lovely lady was born on June 2, 1982 in White Rock, BC, Canada (which furthers my idea that Canada is doing some type of genetic experiments to produce beautiful women).

Besides SG: Atlantis and Firefly, Jewel has appeared in over 20 movies and TV series.
She'll be reprising her role of Dr. Jennifer Keller in the straight to video release of "Stargate: Extinction" that will reunite most of the cast of Atlantis.

For the third year in a row, McAfee has released it's list of the most dangerous celebrities to search for in cyberspace, and the number one celeb this year is....Jessica Biel.
Almost the entire top ten were women, Jessica, Beyonc�, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Gisele Bundchen, Miley Cyrus, Megan Fox-Angelina Jolie (oddly enough a tie) and Ashley Tisdale.
Tom Brady and Brad Pitt were the only two guys in the top ten.

McAfee said this about searching for Jessica....
" Jessica Biel ? Major buzz about her figure and high-profile relationship with Justin Timberlake makes Jessica Biel an easy target for spammers and hackers. More Yoko Kumada

I did an entry on Yoko Kumada back in 2007, so I figured it was time for another.
Yoko was born on May 13, 1982, in Gifu city, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
She is a Japanese idol and singer.
Yoko has done a lot of TV work in Japan, her first appearance being London Hearts on the TV Asahi network.
She has released over 38 DVDs, the first being "� la mode" in 2002 and the most recent being Muteki in 2009.
As with a lot of Japanese Idols she has also released several Photobooks starting with "mimoza" in 2002.
Yoko has released one single, "Always" which was released in 2006.

Jessica Alba - Upcoming Movies

Things seem to be kinda quiet for Jessica Alba on the Hollywood gossip front.
I imagine thats just fine by her.

Jessica is staying busy though, working on four movies for 2010.
First up is "The Killer Inside Me" with Casey Affleck and Kate Hudson.

Next, Jessica reprises her role as Nancy Callahan in Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's "Sin City 2".

Then the one I am really waiting for just because the cast is a B-movie lovers dream come true, "Machete".
It's another Robert Rodriguez film starring Jessica, Jeff Fahey, Don Johnson, Lindsay Lohan, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, Michelle Rodriguez, Robert DeNiro and Danny Trejo.
As far as knock-down, drag 'em out action goes, the only movie that could possibly rival this one is the upcoming "The Expendables".

And finally, she'll be starring in "Valentine's Day" with an ensemble cast thats just as amazing in a different way.
Her co-stars will be Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Shirley MacLaine, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, George Lopez, Queen Latifah, Emma Roberts, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, and Carter Jenkins!

Another one of my "guilty pleasures" I suppose you could call it is SyFy's (I still hate that name) Warehouse 13.
To get a feel for Warehouse 13, think The X-Files, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Moonlighting and Bones all rolled into one.
And if you remember the old Friday the 13th: The Series that was on in the late 80s, a bit of that too.

I have to take a moment and geek out over the fact that Saul Rubinek gets a starring role in the series as Secret Service Agent Arthur "Artie" Nielsen.
And also a small geek out that some of their equipment comes really close to "Steampunk".

Now that that's over, lets get on to Myka Bering played by Joanne Kelly.
Myka Bering is the by the book partner of Peter Lattimer and together they are the Mulder and Scully of the show.
Okay, they haven't reached Mulder and Scully level yet, but I'm willing to give them time.

Myka is played by Canadian actress Joanne Kelly.
Joanne is no newcomer to the Syfy channel as she played the vampire Bianca in SciFi's The Dresden Files.
Back when it was SciFi.
(Sorry)
Besides that role, Joanne has a long list of movie and TV appearances including Mutant X, Supernatural and Castle.

Jennifer Tilly

Jennifer Tilly is a Canadian-American actress and the sister of actress Meg Tilly.
Jennifer was born on September 16, 1958 in Los Angeles, California.

Her first movie was "No Small Affair" (with Jon Cryer and Demi Moore) in 1984.
Although she has done a ton of movie sand cult films, you have to remember that this same actress that starred in 1998's "Bride of Chucky" also was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress In Supporting Role for 1994's "Bullets Over Broadway".
She also gained a lot of notoriety for her role in "Bound" with Gina Gershon.

And after taking some time off for other pursuits, Jennifer has been back into movie making big time as of late.
In 2009 she has: An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong, Baiyin diguo, Imps* (okay this was actually filmed in the 80s and just released) , The Making Of Plus One, Renaissance Girl and it was announced she will be in the upcoming "30 Beats," an indie film based on Arthur Schnitzler's classic play "La Ronde."

And not one to disappoint her fans, she is also scheduled for 2011's Revenge of Chucky.

Mary McCormack-Mary Shannon-In Plain Sight

And now we move on to another of my favorite shows, USA's "In Plain Sight".

On the show, Mary McCormack plays Mary Shannon, a Deputy United States Marshal at the Albuquerque, NM, office of the Federal Witness Security Program (WITSEC or the Federal Witness Protection Program).
Mary is assisted by her partner Marshall Mann (played by the awesome Fred Weller) as she tries to help people and familys in the Witness Protection Program.
Of course Mary's family gives her enough trouble and they really do put the "fun" in dysfunctional.
Mary is brash, sometimes overbearing and a big nonconformist, but she is fiercley loyal to her friends, family and those she protects.

The lady that plays Mary is Mary McCormack.
Mary appeared on the television series The West Wing as Deputy National Security Advisor Kate Harper.
And Mary has not only been involved in TV, but movies and theater as well.
In 2008, she was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play for the role of Gretchen in the Broadway revival of Boeing Boeing.

Mary also appeared in a cross-over when her character Mary Shannon appeared on Law & Order: Criminal Intent in the episode "Contract".

Jane Seymour

Jane Seymour is probably one of the most beautiful women to grace the silver screen.
She was born Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg on February 15, 1951 in Hayes, London, England.
Her first role was an uncredited appearance in 1969's "Oh! What a Lovely War" as a Chorus Girl.

But the first role that got her real attention was as Solitaire in the 1973 James Bond film "Live and Let Die" with Roger Moore.
After that, she appeared in more movies, TV shows and mini-series than you could shake a stick at (thats a lot), including "Wedding Crashers" (as the awesome Kathleen "Kitty Kat" Cleary), "Smallville", "East Of Eden", Dr.Quinn, and "Somewhere in Time".

Besides being an actress, Jane is a Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and she became a U.S. citizen on February 11, 2005.
Jane has also written eight books, her latest being "Open Hearts: If Your Heart is Open it Can Never Stay Broken".

And if that isnt enough for you, she is also an artist.
She does oils, acrylic and watercolor paintings.

Allison Scagliotti-Claudia Donovan-Warehouse 13

Claudia Donovan (played by Allison Scagliotti), first appeared in episode 4 of Warehouse 13.
She kidnapped Artie to get him to help bring back her brother that was caught in between dimensions.
Kidnapping Artie was the start of a beautiful relationship.
Even though Artie and Claudia snipe at each other, Claudia seems to really want Artie's respect and praise.

Allison Scagliotti, who plays Claudia has appeared on Drake & Josh as Mindy Crenshaw, Zoey 101, One Tree Hill, and CSI.
And Allison will be joining the cast of Smallville this year as "Jayna".

Yes Jayna...."Wonder Twin powers, activate!"
Zan will be played by David Gallagher
Let's see how she pulls that off.

Hilary Duff and Gossip Girl

Hilary Duff is going to be doing a guest starring role on the CW's "Gossip Girl".
The former ?Lizzie McGuire? star will be playing a character named Olivia Burke.

Although rumors say she moving away from acting and singing to get more into fashion design, her work load shows no indication of that.

In 2009 she was involved in the movies, What Goes Up (an independent comedy/drama film), Greta (which she is also an Executive Producer) and Stay Cool (an independent comedy film).
In 2010 she has the computer-animated film Foodfight!, Provinces of Night (a dramatic romance film) and the announced The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.

She also has The Business of Falling in Love coming up for ABC Family.

And she has guested starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Ghost Whisperer so far in 2009.

So she may be moving more into fashion, but she's staying busy on the other fronts.

She has appeared in Tokchet Ovpuk (Father?s Heart), Ath Bey, Kong Kam Kong Keo, Ros Cheat Chivith, Domnok Cheam Chong Krouy, Samoth Tok Sap (as Rum Chong, Water Lily) , and Pka Thkol Sor and Sromol Krom Pnek.
Keo also appeared in the "Taste of Life" TV series as Nary Chan from 2004 to 2006.
The show was a big hit in Cambodia.

Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif, The Good and The Bad

While Mallika Sherawat seems to be conquering Hollywood, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif seems to be conquering everything else.
Katrina has been honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Award under the Best Actress category in Hindi cinema.
Katrina is also being listed as the most "Googled" actress in Bollywood cinema and she was voted "The Sexiest Woman in India" by FHM.

But despite all that, everything isn't coming up roses for Katrina.
Actor Jackie Shroff?s wife, Ayesha Shroff has come forth and announced that Katrina Kaif's real name is Katrina Turquotte.
Katrina has always maintained that her Kaif surname was due to her Kashmiri father, but Ayesha says that the name on Katrina's passport when she came to India was Katrina Turquotte.

Hayden Panettiere News

"Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere had been dating fellow "Heroes" star Milo Ventimiglia (who you can kinda see in the above picture) until last February.
But since they broke up, Hayden has been blaming the press and the public for the break-up.
She told UK's Company magazine, "It's very, very difficult and people have no idea what they do to peoples' relationships. They destroy them. The paparazzi and the public."
Hayden will be appearing on the magazine's September 2009 cover.

So now Hayden is taking a much more low key approach by dating Lindsay Lohan's ex.
Yes that should hold off the paparazzi.
Hayden (who turns 20 on August 21st) is rumored to be seeing Lindsay's ex, Harry Morton.
Well dating LiLo's ex should keep the press away right?

And Hayden was a big hit at this year's Teen Choice Awards.
She won ?Choice TV Actress Action Adventure? and ?Choice Celebrity Activist.?
And Heroes won ?Choice TV Show Action Adventure.?

Debrah Farentino / Dr. Beverly Barlowe / Eureka

Even though she is no longer on Eureka, I have to mention Dr. Beverly Barlowe played by Debrah Farentino.
Beverly was so hot, that even Vincent (the owner of Cafe Diem) once remarked that he wondered what it'd be like to be with her.
She was the the town psychiatrist, but while she was gaining the confidence of everyone in Eureka, she was following her own secret agenda.
Beverly was working for the Consortium, a conglomerate of business interests that wanted Eureka's scientific break throughs for their own gain.

Beverly was brought to smoldering life by Debrah Farentino, who was a model before becoming an actress.
Debrah has appeared on a ton of TV shows starting in 1982 on the TV series Capitol.
She was last seen on the TV series "Eli Stone" playing Ellen Wethersby.
Although she may show up on Eureka again.
The last time she was seen, Beverly used a teleportation device to get away, so she may still be out there somewhere.....

Erica Durance, Smallville

As far as I'm concerned, Erica Durance is still one of the best reasons to watch "Smallville".
That is if you still watch it.
I think I stopped about three years ago.
Anyway, at the San Diego Comic-Con
this year, Erica and the rest of the cast showed up on a panel to discuss the upcoming 9th season of the show.
9 years?
Really?
Wow, time does fly huh?

Erica said that this year Lois and Clark's relationship will get as she put it "Spicy".
She will be in more episodes this year, so plan to see her a lot more.

Besides Smallville, Erica is keeping busy with two TV movies, Robin Hood: Beyond Sherwood and Final Verdict, plus three other films, Lick it or Ticket, Sleeping with the Lion and Ecstasy

Bollywood's Mallika Sherawat Conquers Hollywood

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is continuing her assault on Hollywood, and it looks like she's winning.

Friday (August 14) Mallika will be getting an honor that no other Bollywood star has received.
Because of her contributions to the Hollywood film industry and charities, she will be made an honorary citizen of Los Angeles by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
Also in attendance at the ceremony will be the former Mayor Richard Riordan, Council member Jose Huizar and the Los Angeles City Council.

And according to rumors, Mallika is considering getting her body insured the way pro footballer Cristiano Ronaldo got his legs insured.

Mallika made quite a smash at the premiere of Quentin Tarantino's new movie.
Her outfit got as much attention as she did.
And she got quite a lot, talking to not only Tarantino, but Brett Ratner and others as well.
Her dress for the premiere has been pretty much universally slammed by online fashion sources.
Me?
Actually I kinda liked it.
Realize of course I grew up reading comics, and the dress reminded me of the femme fatale/super villainess' from the comics.
When I saw the pic of her and Brett Ratner (who made X-Men: The Last Stand) I thought " If he does another X-Men movie, there's his Black Queen!"

From what I saw, Quentin looked enamored with Mallika.
Could we be seeing her in an upcoming Tarantino movie perhaps?
Maybe we should wait and see how Hisss does first.

Lindsay Lohan and Machete

Every week you hear that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have Broken up/Gotten back together/Fighting etc., so what is even the point of mentioning it?
None, so I wont.

What I will mention is that Lindsay is working on her first big screen appearance since ?I Know Who Killed Me.? back in 2007.
"Labor Pains" was SUPPOSED to be a release, but it went to ABC Family last month.
Anyway, Lindsay is on the set of Robert Rodriguez?s ?Machete,?

If you saw Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino?s double feature movie, ?Grindhouse,? you may remember the Machete was a fake trailer that appeared between movies.
The movie stars Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, Michelle Rodriguez, Don Johnson (what? really?), Jeff Fahey and Danny Trejo as Machete.
(Yes! Finally Danny Trejo gets his well deserved props!)

Lindsay will be playing April, a socialite with a penchant for guns.
Let's pray this doesn't carry over into real life...okay?

Now to blow my own horn here, I suggested back in November of 2008 that Lindsay needed to hook up with Quentin Tarantino.
I think Robert Rodriguez is close enough since I love both of their movies.

Elisha appeared in "My Sassy Girl" in 2008 which was a remake of a Korean film called (incredibly enough) "My Sassy Girl".
The film went straight to video.
She was also scheduled to appear in a pilot for a TV show called"Ny-lon" which was a remake of a British TV show (called remarkably enough NY-LON) that failed to take off.
Elisha will also be showing up in the indie comedy film "The Six Wives of Henry Lefay" with Tim Allen, Jenna Elfman and Paz Vega.
She will be doing the voice of Cleo the cat in the upcoming animated film "Cat Tale".
Elisha also appeared in "Guns" a Canadian TV miniseries on CBC Television.
Add to that her appearances on the hit TV show"24", and she has been a very busy lady.

With over 22,000 followers, Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra is leading the pack as far as female Bollywood Tweeters go.
As of right now, Priyanka Chopra is at 22,873 and I think her closest rival is Mallika Sherawat at 11,448.
Although Mallika's account is verified which is something Priyanka should look into doing!
There are Twitter accounts listed for Bollywood stars like Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, you cant tell if they are real unless they are verified.

Twitter is a great way to keep up with the stars.
For instance Priyanka said a few hours ago....

Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears

Why does Lindsay look scary in most of her pics now?

After the rumors of Britney Spears dodging Lindsay Lohan in England back in June, you'd think that Britney and Lindsay were done.
Not so.

Britney and Lindsay were seen in LA together Sunday at the Grand Star Jazz Club in Chinatown, Los Angles.
You may recall that several years ago Britney, Lindsay and Paris Hilton almost formed a modern day version of "The Rat Pack", hitting all the hot spots together at night.
However, that was kinda broken up when Britney was admitted to a psychiatric ward.

Allegedly, when Britney was in London on The Circus Tour, Lindsay tried to see her, but Britney's people didn't want her hanging around.
Well that seems to have passed since the two were out until 3AM Sunday.

Now are we gonna hear stories that Samantha is angry at Lindsay for staying out till all hours with her former partner in crime?
No reason to.
According to onlookers, Britney and Lindsay were fairly sedate, just sitting and talking.

And speaking of Lindsay and England, her photo shoot she did while she was there can be seen in the September issue of Elle magazine's U.K. edition.

Dina Meyer

A few entries back I did Ashley Scott in "Birds of Prey".
Well here is Barbara Gordon (Batgirl, Oracle) from the same series, Dina Meyer.
I've liked her ever since I saw her in Starship Troopers as Pvt. "Dizzy" Flores.

Besides Birds of Prey and Satrship Troopers she has appeared in Beverly Hills, 90210, Friends, Ally McBeal, Six Feet Under, Johnny Mnemonic, Saw (1-4), and she will appear in the upcoming film "Piranha 3-D".
Now just the title alone sounds cheesy, but look at the cast.....Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, Jerry O'Connell, Eli Roth and....Richard Dreyfuss?
It looks like a solid B-movie to say the least.

Britney Spears and the MTV VMAs

Britney Spears will be going to the MTV Video Music Awards again this year, but this time as the champ.
(Let's not mention 2007's VMAs okay?)
You may recall that last year, Brit won for Video of the Year "Piece of Me", Best Female Video "Piece of Me" and Best Pop Video "Piece of Me".
"Piece of Me" must have been really good!

This year she is nominated for Video Of The Year "Womanizer", Video Pop Of The Year "Womanizer", Best Art Direction "Circus", Best Choreography "Circus", Best Cinematography "Circus", Best Editing "Circus" and Best Direction "Circus".

Of course with any good prize fight, Brit has stiff competition.
She'll be going up against Beyonce ("Single Ladies"), Eminem ("We Made You"), Kanye West ("Love Lockdown"), and Lady Gaga ("Poker Face").

The MTV Video Music Awards will be hosted again by British comedian Russell Brand. and will take place at New York's Radio City Music Hall on September 13.

Jaime Ray Newman / Dr. Tess Fontana / Eureka

A new addition to the Eureka cast is Jaime Ray Newman as Dr. Tess Fontana.
Tess is the new head of the secretive Section 5 and is a old college buddy of Allison Blake.
Tess might just become Jack Carter's new love interest based on how much they snipe at each other.
And Tess seems to be a more than formidable foe for Jack.

The lady that plays Tess is Jaime Ray Newman.
Jamie was born in Farmington Hills, Oakland County, Michigan on April 2, 1978.
You may remember her from General Hospital where she played Kristina Cassadine, or from Veronica Mars and Stargate: Atlantis.
But keep your eyes open for her in Eastwick, a television adaption of the 1987 movie The Witches of Eastwick on ABC premiering September 23, 2009.
Besides acting, Jamie is in the band School Boy Crush that regularly plays in Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

Charisma Carpenter, Legend of the Seeker and The Expendables

Todays most beautiful woman is someone I've seen a lot of lately since I'm going back and re-watching all the old "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" episodes, Charisma Carpenter.
Of course Charisma was Cordelia Chase on Buffy and Angel.
She started out as a stuck up snotty cheerleader, and during the course of the two shows, the character evolved into something much more.

Charisma hasn't been around alot here lately, but all that's about to change.

First up, she's guest starring on the season premier of one of my guilty pleasures, "Legend of the Seeker" as a Mord-Sith.
If you dont watch Seeker, The Mord-Sith are an elite group of women warriors that wear skin-tight leather outfits.

And she is co-starring in an upcoming film called "The Expendables" that may be the greatest action movie ever filmed.
Why?
The movie was written by Sylvester Stallone, and get a load of the reported cast....
Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brittany Murphy and Charisma.
Wow.
I thought it was a joke when I first heard about it, but this could be awesome.

No More Twilight For Rachelle Lefevre

Rachelle Lefevre, the actress formerly known as Twilight's Victoria, has been thrashing about a lot lately after being dismissed from the planned third sequel to the Twilight Saga: "Eclipse."
Rachelle was Victoria in the first film "Twilight" and she reprized the role in the sequel "New Moon", but she was dismissed from Eclipse and replaced with Bryce Dallas Howard.
(You may remember Bryce as Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3).
Summit Entertainment says that Rachelle was in breach of contract for signing on to do the Indy film "Barney's Version," which begins filming the same day as "Eclipse,".
Rachelle says that she was only gonna be tied up with "Barney's Version," for two weeks, after that she was free to devote her full time and energy to "Eclipse,".
But all this talk was going nowhere so Rachelle and Summit are gonna finish this the American way.
With lawyers.

Now Rachelle appeared at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con to help promote New Moon last weekend.
She seems to be committed to the role.
Is the studio just being jerks?
Or are they sending a warning message to the other actors?

Either way, news of this did not set well with Twilight fans who started online petitions urging Rachelle's return.

I don't know, I think Rachelle looks pretty cool in the above pic.
It's not your classic Vampire get-up, no form hugging black leather "battlesuit", but it has a certain flair doesn't it?

Usually I like to do a top ten of women profiled on this blog, but last month, there was really no competition.
One woman out ranked everyone else easily.
And that woman was beautiful Pinay model and actress Bubbles Paraiso.

Bubbles was born on July 24, 1984 in Quezon City in the Philippines.

She has appeared in the movies For the First Time (2008) and My Monster Mom (2008) and in the TV series "Princess Sarah" (2007) and "Codename: Asero" (2008).
Currently she is in the TV series "Zorro" as Magda.

Lindsay Lohan, Marilyn Monroe and...Machete?

Well all know that Lindsay Lohan likes Marilyn Monroe.
(Actually back a few years ago I thought she was a dead ringer for Ann-Margret, see the pic above)
She's done two Marilyn themed photo shoots (in Spanish Vogue and New York magazine), she has a quote by Marilyn "Everyone's a star and deserves the right to twinkle"surrounded by yellow, blue and green stars tattooed on her left wrist, her 6126 Leggings line is named after Marilyn's birth date, she just spent 11 hours in a salon getting her red hair bleached blonde, and now Lindsay wants to do a remake of the movie classic "Some Like It Hot."
Unfortunately Lindsay seems to be the only one that wants to do the remake so far.

Now in all fairness, it's been reported that the new hairstyle isn't because of her Marilyn fascination, it's for a new movie role.
The movie is "Machete" based on the trailer that Robert Rodriguez did for the real "Grindhouse" a few years back.

The rumored cast for "Machete" is veteran supporting actor Danny Trejo (if you don't know the name, you'll know the face), Michelle Rodriguez, Robert De Niro, Jonah Hill and ... Lindsay Lohan.

Now this really could be the break Lindsay is looking for.

I haven't done this in awhile, so here is a list of the top ten Bollywood actresses on this blog for June.....

1. Amrita Arora
The beautiful Bollywood actress born in Mumbai, India blew away all the competition and came in at number one.
Amrita has three movies in 2009, Kambakth Ishq (with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani) , Team - The Force and Season's Greetings (with Sohail Khan, Tabu and Shreyas Talpade) .

2. Koena Mitra
Number two on the list is Indian actress and former model Koena Mitra.
The Bengali beauty hasn't had many successes in Bollywood lately, with only Ayan coming out this year.

3. Katrina Kaif
Coming in at number three is the Hong Kong-born British-Indian actress and model, Katrina Kaif.
Katrina not only has 2009 releases (New York, Blue, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, De Dana Dan), but even releases planed into 2010 (Rajneeti and a Padosan Remake) .
And she is one of my personal favorites.

4. Twinkle Khanna
Twinkle was very popular in the 90s in Hindi and Telugu films, and now she is an interior designer (she did the interiors for Rani Mukerji's new house) and co-owner of The White Window store.

Rani Mukerji (Mukherjee) has two movies this year (Luck by Chance and Dil Bole Hadippa) and one set for 2010 ( the animated Koochie Koochie Hota Hain).

6. Deepika Padukone
Deepika was recently diagnosed with malaria after becoming ill during a shoot in London. But she'll get better and shooting on Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull will continue.

7. Mallika Sherawat
Mallika Sherawat is getting a lot of press for her upcoming movie "Hisss". And a lot of attention on Twitter.

8. Preity Zinta
This honest and outspoken Bollywood beauty has two movies this year, Main Aur Mrs. Khanna and Har Pall.

Another one of the beautiful women on Eureka is Deputy Josefina "Jo" Lupo played by the lovely Erica Cerra.

Jo is awesome.
One of the best female butt kickers on TV at the moment, and always ready to fight.
She is well versed in hand to hand combat (scoffing at Rangers) and virtually every form of hand held weapon from Glocks and Colts to Eureka's own experimental weaponry.
Jo has a softer side she rarely lets show, and she is deeply loyal to her friends.

Erica was born on Halloween (how cool is that?) 1979.
Besides Eureka she has appeared in Dead Like Me, The Collector, Dead Zone, Blade Trinity, The L Word, Battlestar Galactica, Reaper and she will be playing Hera is the upcoming film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson At It Again

The other woman?
Not really.....

It seems Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson's on again off again relationship is off again.
Lindsay and Sam got into it again in an argument that winded up with Samantha throwing all of Lindsay's clothes out into the street.
Why all the drama this time?
It seems Lindsay heard that Sam was out on the town with "Sopranos" actress Drea De Matteo.
Nevermind that Sam said that she and Drea are just friends, that Drea is engaged to country singer Shooter Jennings (the son of Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter) ,or that Shooter and Drea have a 20-month-old daughter, Alabama.
Lindsay allegedly just flipped out, showing up at Sam's home just after Drea and Sam got back.
So was she watching them?
Or just the house?

But even though Sam threw all of Lindsay's clothes out, at least one report says that Sam let Lindsay back in, and she spent the night.
"Spent the night"?
This all started at 6 in the morning.....what night?

Ashley Scott in "Birds of Prey"

Today's entry is a blast from the past.
Well not that much of a past, 2002 to be exact.
Ashley Scott has done a lot of work in TV and movies.
She's appeared in Dark Angel (with Jessica Alba), Jericho, AI: Artificial Intelligence and in the role that caught my eye, Helena Kyle/The Huntress in the WB Series "Birds of Prey".
I thought Ashley as Helena was just amazing looking.
I really had her pegged as another Angelina Jolie.
But alas it was not to be.
After "Birds of Prey" she just kinda drifted off.
She was in movies and did some more TV (including the cult hit Jericho) but nothing really seemed to click for Ashley.
And she still works today.
The last thing I remember seeing her in was a CSI Miami episode.
She was in 12 Rounds with John Cena, but I didn't see that.
(Interestingly enough, she was in another movie "Walking Tall" with another WWE star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson)

Salli Richardson-Whitfield / Dr. Allison Blake / Eureka

Eureka is a science fiction television series set in a town inhabited almost entirely by geniuses.
It comes on SyFy (Does anyone else hate that new name?) Fridays at 9:00 EST.

Of course even though the town is populated with brilliant scientists, it has some beautiful women as well.
Such as....

Dr. Allison Blake, played by Salli Richardson-Whitfield.
Allison is a Department of Defense agent who acts as the liaison between Eureka and the federal government.
After Dr. Nathan Stark vanishes (I still say he isn't dead) she becomes the director of Global Dynamics.

Dr. Blake is played by the lovely Salli Richardson (who reminds me a lot of Eva Mendes for some reason)
Salli was born on November 23, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. Her father is of Irish ancestry and mother is African-American.
Salli is married to actor Dondre Whitfield who you may remember from The Jamie Foxx Show, Martin, and Girlfriends (But I remember him as Terrence Frye on All My Children!)
Before Salli married Dondre, she dated a few people you may have heard of like Matthew McConaughey, Tupac Shakur, and Marlon Wayans.

On TV and in movies she has appeared in Stargate SG-1, The Pretender, Biker Boyz, CSI: Miami, Book of Love and she did the voice of Elisa Maza in the animated series Gargoyles just to name a few.

Sienna Miller as The Baroness

Here is a picture of Sienna Miller as Baroness Anastasia DeCobray aka The Baroness in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra".

How is this movie gonna do?
Wow...I have no idea.
I hear a lot of negatives about it online.
But Sienna really dove into preparation for the part.
She worked out for four months (putting on five pounds of muscle), took boxing lessons and learned to fire automatic weapons.

Sienna though wasn't the first choice for the Baroness.
Orginally, Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Max Payne) was considered for the role.

All I can say is I hope Sienna does well.
G.I. Joe fans all over the world love The Baroness.
And I'd hate to be the one to disappoint them.

Neha Dhupia "Bollywood Hero" Updates

Back in May I posted an entry about Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia being in an upcoming comedy miniseries titled "Bollywood Hero" for the Independent Film Channel starring Chris Kattan (Corky Romano).
Well from the looks of it, everyone else has caught up and announced it in the past few days...LOL

But the update part of this is that

1. Neha's character will be called "Lalima", and as Neha puts it herself, "My character is overbearing, typical Bollywood heroine who is known more for controversies than her acting skills."
"overbearing, typical Bollywood heroine"...that might not set too well with other Bollywood actresses!

2. The mini series will have cameos by Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore.

3. The show will be aired on IFC, an independent film channel from August 6 onwards.

And riding the hopefully good reviews of the mini series, Neha will have six movies coming out, "Paying Guest", "Pappu Can't Dance Sala", "Raftaar","Raat gayi baat gayi", "I'm 24" and "De Dhanadhan".

Lovely Japanese actress Mao Inoue was born on January 9, 1987 in Yokohama, Japan.
Mao has been acting since the age of five, but she got national attention in the TV drama Kids War in 1999.
She was cast as the star of the Japanese TV show Hana Yori Dango (based on the Japanese manga Boys Over Flowers) in 2005 which was very sucessful.
So succesful in fact that it lead to a sequel, Hana Yori Dango 2 in 2007.
And it didnt stop there, after Hana Yori Dango 2 aired, Hana Yori Dango Final was made as a movie.

Mao has appeared in over 40 TV dramas!
Add to this 5 movies, plus stage performances and you can see why Mao is so popular.

Bridget Regan / Kahlan Amnell / Legend of the Seeker

Legend of the Seeker is one of my guilty pleasures.
The reason I started watching it is because it's done by Sam Raimi and like just about everything he has ever done.
And I mean way before he did Spider-Man.
I know online a lot of people have a problem with the fact that the TV series has little in common with the books.
But I don't see how anyone could have a problem with Confessor Kahlan Amnell, as played by Bridget Regan.
(Okay, I was desperately looking for a segue there)

Kahlan is beautiful, poised, compassionate and can wield a sword or dagger with the best of them.
And she looks good doing it.

The lady that plays Kahlan is film, television and theater actress Bridget Regan.
Bridget has appeared in the films The Babysitters, Blinders, The Wedding Album and the Sex and the City movie.
On TV she has appeared in New Amsterdam, American Experience, Love Monkey and The Black Donnellys.

Alexis Bledel

Here is a beautiful woman that we got to see grow up on TV.
Well not really.
Alexis Bledel started out on the WB series Gilmore Girls in 2000 playing High School student and daughter of Lorelai Gilmore, Rory Gilmore.
Alexis was 19 at the time.
But time caught up and Rory went to Yale and became a college student.
Believe it or not Alexis will turn 28 this year on September 16th.

Besides The Gilmore Girls, Alexis has appeared in Sin City (which totally blew away my "Rory" image) as Becky, Tuck Everlasting as Winifred Foster, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (both one and two) as Lena Kaligaris, Life is Short (a short film that she also produced), Post Grad as Ryden Malby (with Jane Lynch and Carol Burnett...yes CAROL BURNETT!) and other films.
She is also rumored to be reprising her role as Becky in Sin City 2, (which Robert Rodriguez keeps saying will come out eventually).

In 2002, Alexis was voted one of the "25 Hottest Stars Under 25" by Teen People, and she was ranked number 87 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2005.
Of course Sin City came out in 2005, but that didn't have anything to do with Maxim's ranking right?

Lindsay Lohan and The Hangover

Did you know that Lindsay Lohan was supposed to be in the sleeper hit "The Hangover"?
Yep, Lindsay was supposed to get the role of Jade that eventually went to Heather Graham.
It seems Lindsay's agent worked hard to get the attention of the movie's director Todd Phillips.
It worked and Lindsay was considered, and then she turned down the script say that it had no potential.
The Hangover was made for $35 million and has so far grossed over $220 million domestically and more than $74 million in foreign markets.

And if that isn't bad enough, now Lindsay is being sued by a St. Petersburg, Florida chemist, Jennifer Sunday, who says Lindsay stole the formula for her sunless tanning spray, Sevin Nyne, from her.

And By the way, Lindsay's movie "Labor Pains" will be premiering on ABC Family this Sunday (July 19) with the DVD and Blu-ray coming out next month on August 4.Originally the movie was slated for a theatrical release.

Oh what better way to end the week than with a picture of Megan Fox in glasses?

Britney Spears Cancels Upcoming Show in Warsaw

Britney Spears' Circus Tour will not be making a stop in Warsaw Poland.
It seems that the tour organizer AEG Live presented the Polish organizers with a contract that was not in tune with Polish law.

Britney posted a message on her website that read :
"Britney regrets that she will not be visiting Poland's capital during her world tour. She apologizes to all her loyal fans for the cancellation and hopes to visit the culturally exciting city of Warsaw in the near future."

On July 26th, the tour will be wrapping up it's European leg in Berlin Germany.
And on August 20th, the second half of the North American tour will be kicking off in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
The tickets for her second leg of the tour went on sale almost a month ago.

The tour has already become the highest grossing tour of 2009 in the US and the third highest grossing tour worldwide. It grossed $74.6 million in it's first 48 shows.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor is featured on Maxim magazine on it's cover.
Kareena is getting a lot of press lately, including the fact that she was on Filmfare Magazine?s ?most powerful women? list.
Kareena has also told the press that she's putting marriage on the back burner to pursue her career.

And Madhuri Dixit has sparked a controversy, but not intentionally.
There's a lake in Arunachal Pradesh called Tsho-nga Tser that the locals began to refer to as " Madhuri " after Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit shot Koyla there.
The locals seem to be more than a little upset that their lake is being renamed by outsiders.

And finally, Bollywood beauty Mallika Sherawat has signed to make a film called ?Female Barack Obama?, which is based on San Francisco Attorney General Kamala Harris.
Mallika is in LA of the post production of her film "Hisss" and has been burning up Twitter while shes been there.
Mallika is one of the most followed Bollywood personalities on Twitter with over 6000 fans.
She's even set to make a side trip to Twitter HQ on July 14th.

Dollhouse

I did an entry (kinda) on Dollhouse when they were doing the "Save the Dollhouse" thing.
Well the show has been renewed and so Joss Whedon has some more time to draw everyone in.
Of course what would the Dollhouse be without the "Dolls"?

First up is Echo, played by Eliza Dushku.
Okay I have been an Eliza fan since she was Faith on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
And of course her role in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back as Sissy did NOT hurt any either.
Heck, I even liked Wrong Turn.
But it still blows my mind that this is the same girl that played Dana Tasker, Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter in True Lies.

And next, the beautiful Sierra played by Dichen Lachman.
Her exotic looks come by way of her Australian and Tibetan descent.
I like all of the Dolls so ranking them might be hard, but Sierra just might be number 2 behind Echo.

Dr. Claire Saunders (Whiskey) played by Amy Acker.
I've liked Amy since Angel.
And her transformation from Fred into Illyria there was so cool.
Showing "Claire" as Whiskey in the season finale didnt hurt either.
Now I want to see more of that character.
Hey...it's just one visit to the chair away.....

November played by Miracle Laurie.
If I didnt put November on this list, I think I would be immedaitely flamed by her legion of fans.
I really love the way the fanbase took to her.
I'm really glad that her character got the "Happy Ending" send off.
But with the Dollhouse, you never know, she could be back.

And finally, Adelle DeWitt played by Olivia Williams,the highest ranking official at the Los Angeles Dollhouse.
The Mada...er..I mean LEADER of the Dollhouse.
Olivia has immaculate acting credits.
She worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon and London.
In 1995, she toured the United States in a production of Shakespeare's Richard III starring Ian McKellen.
She kinda teamed up with Ian again in 2006 when she had an uncredited role as Dr. Moira MacTaggert in X-Men: The Last Stand.

Lindsay Lohan's Super Bowl Weekend

Maybe a helicopter would have been better....

Well Lindsay got all bent out of shape because Delta Airlines couldn't get her a first class seat on a flight out of Tampa Saturday morning.
The flight was overbooked anyway, but Lindsay apparnetly threw a fit and the passengers, instead of being shocked were amused.
(With all the Homeland Security stuff, can't you get tossed in jail for pulling a stunt like that?)
Anyway Delta came through and got Lindsay a first class seat so she wouldnt have to suffer in..(gasp!)..economy.

But I guess she was in a bad mood before all this, because according to reports, Lindsay and Samantha Ronson got into it at the ESPN The Magazine?s official pre-Super Bowl party where Samantha was DJing.
It was all glares and grabbing Blackberrys to check messages until Sam grabbed Lindsay and drug her off to the ladies room for some face time.
That seemed to work because afterwards they were all smiles.
So no wonder Lindsay was a little jagged Saturday morning.

Jessica Simpson, Employee of the Month

Sorry there have been no posts for so long, but I've been offline for about a month.

But during that month I got to catch up on a lot of movies I haven't seen and several of them had some of the women featured on this blog.

One was " Employee of the Month" starring Dane Cook (who I normally don't like, but I did in this), Dax Shepard and of course, Jessica Simpson.

Jessica really was pretty good in this movie, (Okay, the movie wasn't very exceptional to say the least). I haven't seen her in very many movies.
Alright, I haven't seen ANY movies she's been in. This was the first.
No I never saw " The Dukes of Hazzard " believe it or not.

Besides those two, Jessica has been in " Blonde Ambition ", " Major Movie Star " and she'll be upcoming in " The Witness ".

Of course besides acting, Jessica has her product line, her singing career and today is Jessica's birthday!

Paris Hilton Will Stimulate The World's Economy

Paris Hilton has revealed her plan to stimulate the world's economy.
She's going shopping whenever she can.
And she's also only going to wear clothes made by U.S. fashion designers.
Okay, let's see how fast the media nails her on this one. You know THAT will never last.

But unlike all the promises she made when she got out of jail, the shopping pledge seems to be holding.
She just bought a house in London for two million pounds.
I have no idea what that is in US currency.
And she's gonna spend another 250,000 pounds to make the house "Pure Paris".
Paris is in the UK promoting her TV series My British Best Friend, so she needs a place to hang her hat you know.

And speaking of Paris' new BFF (or is it BBFF?) it looks like as I predicted Brittany Flickinger's time is up.
It appears Paris' sister Nicky can't stand Brittany and that has caused a rift.
Paris has been ditching her when she goes out, most obviously at Sundance.

Good news / bad news time for Rihanna.
First the good news.....

Last year the Barbadian sensation picked up her first Grammy, with Jay-Z for "Umbrella".
Now she is poised to add at least one more Grammy to her collection.
Her single "Disturbia" is up for Best Dance Recording and "If I Never See Your Face Again", her collaboration with Maroon 5 is up for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.
Rihanna will also be performing Sunday night at the awards ceremony.

And now the bad news.....

Manu Dibango, a Cameroonian singer, sued Michael Jackson for stealing the line ?mama-say mama-sa ma-ma-coo-sa? from Manu's ?Soul Makossa?.
Jackson admitted to ?borrowing the line? and they settled out of court.
But Rihanna used the line in her song ?Don?t Stop the Music? after she got permission from Michael, not Manu.
So now Manu is suing her for more than $600,000.

I did an entry on Sarah Lancaster on my Beautiful Women blog awhile back.
But since we are doing themes and we're on Chuck, I thought I'd do one here too.
Sarah Lancaster plays Dr. Eleanor Fay "Ellie" Bartowski, Chuck's sister, on the NBC TV show Chuck.
On the show she's engaged to "Captain Awesome", Dr. Devon Woodcomb.

The lady that plays her is Sarah Beth Lancaster.
She was born on February 12, 1980 in Overland Park, Kansas.
Sarah played Rachel in Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Madison Kellner on Everwood and Lisa the Gift-Shop Girl on NBC's Scrubs before Chuck.

I think if they ever do finally make a Wonder Woman movie, she would make a pretty good Diana.

The normally size zero actress says shes gained a few pounds lately.

More Confusing Lindsay Lohan news

And now for more confusing Lindsay Lohan news.
Confusing because according to the media, how can any one story be right?

First, Lindsay and Samantha Ronson show up at Andy Lecompte's salon party Thursday night where Samantha is DJing and all seems well.

Then reports that Lindsay and Samantha were overheard fighting again at Samantha's Hollywood home. The argument was supposedly so loud that neighbors could hear them out in the street.

Then reports that Lindsay has moved out of Ronson's home and rented her own house.

And THEN reports that Samantha will be DJing a special Valentine's Day evening at Passion Night Club in South Florida, hosted by Lindsay.

I have seen " I love you/I hate you" relationships but this is just bizarre.

Or is it not them at all and the media is just spinning everything that happens to their own favor?

Of course a blissful couple doesn't sell, while constant arguments do.

I guess that's why they call it celebrity rumors huh?

Britney Spears' Circus Tour is Okay

In the last entry I mentioned Britney wanting to take the kids along with her on her Circus Tour.
Everything appears to be a go.
Well she's not really taking them with her, they'll be near her in rented houses.
It seems everything is okay now,and Kevin Federline has agreed to it.
But Britney had to up her deal a bit and pay K-Fed $5000 a week instead of $4000.
And K-Fed doesn't have to go along. He can just stay home.
She's basically renting out her own kids from him with he sits at home with his volleyball player girl friend.
Where the heck are those Father of the Year nominations?
But even though K-Fed is getting $5000 to do nothing, Britney now has 50/50 custody rights.

But Aishwarya's father was ill and Aishwarya asked the French goverment to post-pone the ceremony until he was well.
She wanted her entire family there for the ceremony.

And the last of the lovely ladies on Chuck.....
Julia Ling was born Shelwei Lin on February 14, 1983 in Southern California.
Julia plays the awesome Anna Wu on NBC's Chuck.
I don't think there has been such a combination of cute and deadly since Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill.
She can fight well enough to prompt the normally unflappable Casey to call for a background check on her when he saw her fighting.
And with good reason, Julia was one of ten finalists in the Los Angeles Region of Jackie Chan's Disciples competition in 2007.

Besides Chuck, Julia has appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 8 Simple Rules, ER, House, Grey's Anatomy and The O.C.

At the Grammys Sunday Night, Paris Hilton went up to Paul McCartney, (Yes THAT Paul McCartney) and asked him if he'd be interested in doing a duet.
Okay, let that sink in a minute.....
She pointed out that they were both singers.
I'll give you another minute.
Paul tried to graciously distance himself from her.
He IS after all Sir Paul McCartney, that title carries a bit of chivalry right?
But Paris kept pushing it, complimenting his great body of work....and his hair.
You cant make this stuff up.
Paul, in the consummate gentleman manner, told her that he would consider it.

If this somehow does happen, I think it will be one of the final signs of the Apocalypse.

She's already launched her own line of leggings, which from what I understand is doing pretty well.
And now Lindsay is venturing into another market.

Lindsay will be premiering her own tan in a can product called Sevin Nyne.

I haven't done anything on the beautiful Kyoko Fukada in a while.
This young lady is simply stunning.
To say the camera loves her is an understatement.
Kyoko was born on November 2, 1982, in Tokyo, Japan.
She debuted in the television drama Sore ga Kotae da! as Kazune back in 1997, and since then has done a ton of TV and Movie appearances, notably in Ring 2, the sequel to the Japanese horror film, Ring.
Besides acting, she has released several singles and albums in Japan.

Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty News

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty will be marrying her fiance Raj Kumdra in October of this year, but until then, they are renovating a 5 million pound Surrey home at St George's Hill.
Shilpa seems to be getting into the country life, saying that she can't wait to start raising a family there.

The home isn't the only thing Shilpa and Raj co-own.
They are also co-owners of the Rajasthan Royals, a franchise cricket team that represents the state of Rajasthan in the IPL (Indian Premier League).
Last year, the Royals won the inaugural DLF IPL T-20 Tournament.
Of course Shilpa isn't the only Bollywood celeb to invest in the Twenty20 format of the game.
Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Preity Zinta also have interests in the Twenty20 format.

Shilpa also has two movies coming out this year, "The Man" and "The Desire".

Cote de Pablo / Ziva David / NCIS

Chilean-American actress and recording artist Cote de Pablo plays Israeli Mossad Liaison Officer Ziva David on the CBS drama NCIS.
A Chilean born actress playing an Israeli character on an American show.
Who says TV isn't diverse?

Cote's character on NCIS is amazing.
Ziva was introduced to the series in the third season premiere, and became a regular cast member in the episode "Silver War".
I like Ziva because even though this lady could be portrayed as a killing machine, they give her very human weaknesses.
Like the fact that Ziva can speak at least seven languages fluently, but has trouble with American slang.
And of course Ziva's running battles with Tony DiNozzo help make the show.
And even though CBS lists the show as Drama, Ziva and Tony help to make it one of the funniest shows on TV.
To me at least.

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu is all over the news these days.

First, she seems to be starting a trend by not wearing make up.
Actually Ameesha Patel started it first, but you know, I wonder how many Hollywood actresses could pull off the no make up look?

And Bipasha is playing Diva again.
At Thursday night's launch of Shiamak Davar's sports wear collection, she was a no show.
Even though Bipasha is the company's brand ambassador and she was in Mumbai.
Rumor has it that she didnt attend because Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan were also invited to the event, so she was afraid she wouldn't get solo media coverage there.
Of course Bipasha's spokesperson denied this.

Bipasha has several movies coming out this year including Aa Dekhen Zara (a romantic sci-fi action thriller movie), Pankh, Lamhaa, Sob Choritro Kalponik and Chaimera.

Riya Sen in Zor Laga ke Haiya

Bollywood actress Riya Sen is getting a lot of press for her new role in the upcoming Hindi film "Zor Laga ke Haiya".
Riya has discarded her sultry glamorous look to take on the role of a construction worker named Chamki.
The movie is directed by Girish Joshi and is about an egotistical award winning sculptor (played by Mithun Chakraborthy) who can not adjust to the times he is living in.
Riya plays a Marathi girl that works as a construction worker.
Besides Riya and Mithun, the movie also stars Mahesh Manjrekar, Seema Biswas, Megan, Ayesha Kaduskar, Hardik Thakkar, Ritvik Tyagi and Ashwin Chitale.
"Zor Laga ke Haiya" will be released sometime in May of this year.
